I woke up to a beam of sunlight striking my eye lids. I groaned as I shifted my body to my side. I blinked several times as my expectations of my eyesight began sharpening. I squinted my eyes at the alarm clock which identified that it was 10:15 a.m. It was the beginning of the weekend, Saturday. That disastrous place known at school ended 2 days ago. I wouldn't have to see the faces of those annoying classmates any longer. Summer vacation would seemingly be the same as the passed summers. All I would do is sleep in as well as avoid people as much as possible. I unhurriedly dragged myself out of bed and made my way to the bathroom to get freshened up.

As the lukewarm water fell from the shower head onto my shadowy brown hair, I speculated what I could possibly do the summer aside from being a pathetic couch potato. Though that was what U was most capable at. There were not many choices to make that avoided getting near people. I was out of options sadly...

As I walked out the bathroom and into my bedroom with water dripping from the ends of my dark brown hair, I had decided I would by myself a new laptop considering my 6 year old black mini Dell laptop was no longer functional the way it had been 5 years ago. Sadly  I would still have to get involved with people, but I had no choice if I wanted this summer to be uncomparable from the previous summer breaks.

While I dried my hair with my pink and purple PHILIPS hair dryer I bought 2 years ago. I heard police sirens over the ear-splitting sound of the dryer.I switched of and then set the dryer on the corner of my purple sheeted bed. When I reached my window that was covered by a purple curtain, I smoothly slid the curtain to the left my left hand and stepped forward so I had a good visual of the situation outside my house. I notices that multiple police vehicles surrounding the front of the blue panelled house across the street from mine

Police officers bursted out of the house pulling my neighbor Mr. Kelvin who was in handcuffs out of the house. He was a so called "good man" around the block. But he had a repulsive side to him. No one knew this side of him aside from his family and I. I caught on to the kind of man he was when I was walking home from school one day. I was passing his house and I noticed him yelling rather harshly at someone. I kept my eye on him while walking pass his place through the window. He heaved on a young man's collar who I assumed to be his son that no one knew much about. (not even his name)

Mr. Kelvin suddenly punched the boy brutally across the face. I would have called 911 but I wasn't the type of person to get involved in such situations. So I continued on with life not concerning myself with it too much. From then on though, I didn't visualize him as the "good man" everyone described him to be. I even avoided him not that I didn't before that. So, he wasn't so "good" after all.

The police officer then shoved him into a police car and drove off. 3 police vehicles were still perched on the road. A few police officers were still inside the house I assumed. That's when a question popped into my head. "Where is Mr. Kelvins son?" That's when I saw him. He was being dragged out of the house with each arm around 2 police officers shoulders. Blood was dripping from his chin, from his head. His medium length red yet brown  hair was covering his face from my view. I assumed Mr. Kelvin had gotten way too brutal...Obviously...

As  paramedics that were waiting in the side lines rushed over to help him, I slipped on some clothes to go outside.I was curious about how the neighbors would react. Though I probably already knew. When I got out the door I spotted many of my neighbors standing in the street in front of the now known criminals house, Mr. Kelvin. 2 women were covering their mouth with their palm in disturbance and shock. It wasn't surprising to me in any way. It was predictable for me.

To be continued....
